VI. Notification of Shipment of Nonconforming Material

The supplier is responsible for shipping only conforming product. Should the supplier determine the possibility of having made a shipment of nonconforming or suspect material, immediate notification must be made to the Company. The following actions must be taken:

1. A phone call must be placed to the Purchasing, Production Control and/or Quality Assurance Departments
2. Immediate written documentation must be forwarded.
3. Contingency planning for material supply must be developed between the the Company’s Production Control Department and the supplier.

If the notification is made prior to processing any of the nonconforming or suspect material within the Company’s processes, arrangements may be made to replace the material. If the nonconforming or suspect material is already in-process within the Company, the matter will be handled according to corrective action procedures.
